Apparently one of my friends has decided that Bruce Bowen is gay. It’s actually pretty funny for me to imagine him with a hoop earring and some flamboyant clothing. The “bonghitters” mention is a reference to us getting smoked (pun somewhat intended) by the High Times softball team.

I headed to Madison Square Garden on Wednesday to watch the Knicks and Pacers with my cameraman by my side. My #1 goal was to start a “Fire Isiah” chant. Unfortunately, the Knicks were winning most of the game… until they choked. We actually had somebody from MSG tell us to put our signs away as we were leaving. Dolan is a fucking tyrant.

Most of the “action” while we were at the game is in the YouTube video below. We couldn’t muster a real “Fire Isiah” chant, but we enjoyed the game — not quite as much as Jerome James. Leave it up to General Manager Isiah to screw Coach Isiah by signing such a lazy bastard.

A few quick facts on Jerome James:

• Didn’t play organized basketball until college
• Nickname is “Big Snacks”
• Signed a 6 year $30 million contract OR about $75,000 per game
• Averages 9.8 fouls per 48 minutes of play
• Averaged 3.1 points and 2.0 rebounds per game in his first year with the Knicks

The most hilarious aspect of Jerome James is that he yucks it up with EVERY player during stops in play before returning to the end of the bench (he sits beyond the players in STREET CLOTHES). The worst part is that we saw him giving “tips” to Eddy Curry. That’s the beginning of the end for another lazy, fat big man in the NBA. Don’t listen to him Eddy!

I'm here at the Garden watching the Knickerbockers DESTROY the
Pistons. It defies all logic. Z-Bo is tearing it up and Jared
Jeffries has three highlight-worthy shots. At the the time of this
post, the Pistons are down by 29.

This is truly shocking. Right now, Tayshaun has 0 points and Rip has
3. McDyess is the only Pistons player worth a damn tonight. I've seen
a lot of Afflalo and Stuckey. Maxiell has gotten some time and even
Fabio-style Walter Hermann has gotten into the game. I'm still
wondering who the massive white guy on the Pistons is (later
identified as Brezec). I haven't seen an NBA game since Spurs/Pistons
game 6 of the finals in San Antonio.

I just came within two rows of a catching a shirt slingshotted by the
Knicks City Dancers. I would have gotten physical with the 11 year old
in front of me if it had been shot one row higher. It was very similar
to a Yankee game about ten years ago. The kid in front of me brought a
catcher's mitt. He kept acting out a fantasy where he caught a foul
ball over his head. Make no mistake… had a ball come our way, I
would have elevated to make the grab.

We also saw a sweet wheelchair basketball game. Rest of the shitty
iPhone pics to come later.
